My 13th Concept - Tim Thomas Tribute
My next tribute mask was none other, than the Boston Bruins’ Tim Thomas’ mask. I quite like this one! It’s simple - yet it features the main symbols that are found on the original.
I completed this one with just 608 strokes, in about an hour. Not bad, eh?
With that said, I wanted to share an idea I had just today! With the mini mask collectible that I 3D printed for my own concept mask recently, I was wondering how the following idea might be received by people: essentially 3D printing similar mini replicas of NHL goalies’ masks to complement their hockey cards.
This is what I’m envisioning: the 3D mini mask would be fashioned into a display of some kind, that basically holds the NHL netminder’s hockey card.
Obviously, there have been figurines made of well-known goalies featuring very small replicas of their masks. So this is not an entirely new concept. Moreover, it would be expensive to produce - just based on the price I was quoted by marketiger (for the size of the mini mask that I 3D printed). But yeah, it might have some appeal, maybe?
Anyways, let me know what you guys think in the comments.
See you soon!
